GlenAllachie 12 Year Old 2006 (cask 27979) - Single Cask
One of eight single cask bottlings released for the UK by GlenAllachie near the end of 2018. This one was matured in a single bourbon barrel from March 2006 to October 20187, before being bottled at cask strength with an outturn of only 203 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Fresh vanilla flowers, pear liqueur, quince and sponge cake.
Palate
More pear notes - now pear drops coated with powdered sugar. Underlying barley spiciness and orange peel.
Finish
Ginger, cedar, caraway and toffee.
