Glen Spey 21yo TBWC

It's the very first batch of Glen Spey single malt independently bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company! This is a 21 year old single malt from the distillery, though interestingly, the label doesn't show the distillery itself - instead it features a Porridgemacgorium! Just look at all those different types of porridge you could try! No wonder it's so popular among those hip Victorians.

Batch 1 is a release of 1,278 bottles.

‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Fragrant barley, thyme honey and vanilla ice cream upfront which moves into roasted apricot and pear.

Palate Thick-cut marmalade, red fruits and a little warming cedar make way for waves of milk chocolate goodness, toffee and a little salted butter.

Finish Drying nutmeg lingers.

Reviews for Glen Spey 21 Year Old (That Boutique-y Whisky Company)
Freedom from the crowd
Smooth, very smooth. Fresh hay. A sea breeze. A wooden barn on the edge of a forest. Tractor marks on the grassy verge. In the distance your nan is baking a spice laden cake in her cottage down the road. You catch a scent but it’s subtle in the breeze. Everything is sorted.
