Port Finish
This single malt from Glen Spey joins the Benchmark collection from indie bottler Murray McDavid. Distilled in 2007 the whisky matured for 16 years, including a finish in a tawny Port cask, yielding a total of 324 bottles when it was opened in 2023.
Marzipan, cherry chocolate, earthy coffee, and berry studded fruit loaf.
Robust layers of oily barley and stewed berries, vinous oak, caramel, and a touch of clove.
A rich finish, with cocoa, cinnamon, dried cranberry, and pepper.
