Distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2021, this 11 year old single malt Speysider began its existence at Speyside's Glen Spey Distillery. After distillation, the whisky was allowed time to mature in an American oak cask, with an additional maturation in a Port wine cask. We do love a good Port cask finish! Eventually, a total of 360 bottles were drawn from this cask and independently bottled up for The Cooper's Choice range by The Vintage Malt Whisky Co.
Oily almond butter, honey fudge, dark plum, pencil sharpenings, and berry compote.
Bursting with dark fruits, blackberries, and cherries with wafts of raisins and sultanas, leading to a touch of tropical melon, syrup soaked nuts, and oaken vanilla.
Oak char, hints of cinnamon, clove, and anise alongside plenty more fruit and sweet malt.
