Bough to the Breeze 27 Year Old 1994 - Wemyss Malts (Glen Spey)
A grand old single malt from Glen Spey, independently bottled by Wemyss Malts. Distilled in 1994, it spent the next 27 years resting up in a single hogshead, which was finally opened up to yield a total of 221 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Delicate notes of meadow blossom and floral barley, with herbal honey, creamy vanilla, and soft stone fruits.
Palate
Jammy apricot and zesty orange peels tangle, with buttery pastry and toasted oak in tow. The floral malt continues, with a kick of green apple softened by creamy milk chocolate.
Finish
A pinch of nutmeg and candied ginger see things off, with dark salted chocolate in the distance.
