Sorry about this...
We can't actually ship Glen Scotia Double Cask to the United States at the moment (although we're working hard to fix that).
In the meantime, our friends over at The Whisky Shop might be able to help you out.
Thank you for your support and understanding 🙂

Glen Scotia Double Cask Bottling Note
Ooh, looks like the Glen Scotia range has had a bit of a redesign! They've gone for quite a classic, refined design this time, and have even introduced a selection of new expressions, including the Glen Scotia Double Cask! This Campbeltown single malt is finished in a combination of first-fill bourbon barrels and Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks.

Weeknight Whisky Speyside
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose: Vibrant fruit emerges first (peach flesh and green apple peels), followed by chewy vanilla fudge, a hint of salinity, then an array of oak-y spices including some char.
Palate: Opens with more fudge with a little dusting of powdered sugar. Powerful, oily and a touch herbaceous with some German brandy character.
Finish: Sherried notes come through more on the finish.

lovely oaks
I was pleasantly surprised by this for the money, it is my intro to the distillery, but I am definitely going to look at the 15 or the victoriana now - as I could quite easily daily drink this

Ok but nowt to write home about
A bit of a disappointment, this one. It’s harsh tasting without any of the redeeming features you’d find across the water on Islay. At the same time it’s a bit generic, a little nondescript. Look, it’s s decent single malt so it’s ok. But in the pantheon of Scotch it’s nothing special. I’ll certainly finish the bottle but I won’t buy another one.

Not what I remember.
I had this one a few years ago, and always wanted another bottle as it left a great impression. Got one for Christmas 2021, and it has an odd sour flavor. I shared some with a friend, and we both looked at each other with a strange face. I'm really disappointed that it doesn't come anywhere near the memory ...

Super bland for a single malt
Not much to smell - perhaps a subtle whiff of wee
Taste is malted barley with a bit of burn.
Short very dry finish
I found this incredibly bland for a single malt. I really wondered what the point was. Highland Park would offer much more for similar money

Well worth it .
FIRST time I sat and had a dram of any Glen Scotia.
It's a fair dram for that sort money.
At 46% it has what is required from a dram . .
Oily and thick too .
It hits the spot .
Well worth it .

Rich and slightly firey without water.
Nose of caramel, sea and smoke. tastes quite peppery and a rich fruity basis.. a bit of smike on tongue too. Its a bit young and firey and a small amount of O2 helps this along nicely. Lots of cinommon and nutmeg in finish even with the water.
Nice dram tho and of its home.. Cambeltown.

Not quite Talisker 10, but darn close
It is an amazing rich whiskey for the price. Reminds me of a tangy Talisker 10. With a bit of buttered bread and fruity taste. Sweet corn, which is why it reminds me of Talisker 10. Just delectable! Not perfect, but darn good!

Easy-going, fruity, salty, sweet beauty
Just opened a sample and am very impressed.
Super-easy drinking, but with plenty of body and power.
The PX finish brings a sweetness that's more fruity than the deep toffee I expect from PX.
(Past Benriach and Blair Athol PX finishes were like glorious toffee apples)
I disagree with a couple of the notes below- there's not a hint of peat and not much fudge, but yes, salted caramel. Reminded me most of Balblair from a few years ago (sweetness and easy-going power)
It's not the most fantastically characterful of drams, but you don't want to be getting down n dirty with Springbank every night, do you?
Highly recommended and RIDICULOUSLY good value

Well banlance
The perfect combination of bourbon and sherry cask
The whisky distillery from Campbelltown is already one of the highlights, with sweetness of various toffee and cream and a mild peat with a lingering finish. Calvin
