This is the 15 year old single malt Scotch whisky from Glen Scotia in the Campbeltown region, released in 2015 as part of a redesign for their range. The distillers use specially selected American oak casks to age this expression, which compliment the fruit-forward and subtly coastal whisky rather well.
Lots of rich fruit here - apricot jam, satsuma segments and apple pie. Wafts of sea breeze and baking spices develop after a minute.
Vanilla and fruit, with ginger and cinnamon bring a subtle dryness to it.
Quite long with continuing spice.

Truly lovely whisky. Complex. Neat is spectacular; a dash of water gives different but equally enticing flavours. Sweetness is there but also a myriad of savoury and umami notes.
Rich, dry & slightly bitter, not for everyone. Me I luv the oak injection it counter balances the fruity jammy thing it has goin on. Drop of water loosens it nicely & u get vanilla also.
Best value scotch out there. Less than £50 for a 15 year old Non chill filtered whisky at 46% ? Absolute no brainer
When I saw the bottle I thought it might be a sherried dram but it’s not. So I wondered about natural color and I tend to think it must be. 15 years. Full body, great mouth feel, dark fruits and deep bourbony influence. Complex. Delicious. I’d go 4.5 if it was an option. And I’d definitely buy it again if I wasn’t in a state owned system and had to travel by night to get it.
Fantastic dram & the price makes it even better ! Sweet, spice, light smoke & coastal notes too. It's certainly an interesting malt & i can't see my current bottle lasting much longer.
