Glen Scotia 10yo 2008 Bottling Note

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Coastal air, fresh summer berries, a touch of chocolate brownie.

Palate: Zesty citrus, raspberry, BBQ embers, oatcakes.

Finish: Strawberry and charcoal on the finish.

Don't forget the water
Really enjoyed this. Fortunately I've still an unopened bottle in the cargo hold.

Can’t go wrong
Wow, this has got one of biggest maritime noses I’ve ever had the pleasure to stick my nostrils into. Kintyre coves and sandy beaches come to the forefront of my mind. Needs time to fully appreciate. Dark berries and a slight whiff of smoke on the palate. Incredibly dry on the finish which goes to deliver a very unique malt experience. I can’t decide between this or Springbank 12 as my favourite go to Cambeltown. Shame this is limited. Very limited I understand.

subtle but bold, get some now !
Wow, stunning, classic Campbeltown slap around the face. summer fruits, candy, honey, vanilla, a big dose of malt with a big spicy and oily oak heart. The fruity port carries through to the very last of the finish which has a tinge of candied strawberry. The peat doesn't dominate but there is a coastal wisp of dry peaty smoke throughout. needs a bit of time to breathe after which it loses some of its astringency. best buy of the year for me. might be a bit of a shock to the system for some

Fruity with long dry finish
Just bought a bottle from the Royal Mile Whisky shop after being recommended this by the very knowledgeable assistant (American lady). Very nice and quite different from what I am used to. Very full on with a big fruity hit. Very long lasting and dry finish. Lovely. 👍
