Glen Ord 5 Year Old 2011 (cask 9863) - The Cooper's Choice (The Vintage Malt Whisky Co.)

A youthful Glen Ord single malt Scotch whisky, bottled as part of the Cooper's Choice range. This was distilled back in 2011 and filled into American oak casks then left to mature. Before bottling in 2017, it was given a finishing period in a port cask. A release of 360 bottles (a nice, round number of bottles).

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Soft butterscotch and sawdust, with orange peel and red berries cutting through cleanly.

    Palate

Honey'd oats, melted butter, blueberries, a touch of oak-y smoke.

    Finish

Brown bread with a salt-'n'-pepper glaze, strawberry jam.
