This is a marvellous Glen Ord from Signatory's award-winning Cask Strength Collection. It was distilled on the 30th April 1997 and was aged in a pair of hogshead for 15 years before bottling in late 2012. This is a release of just 530 numbered bottles at natural cask strength.
Toasted, oaky nose with beeswax and a hint of liquorice. Beautiful touches of soft smoke and dried grass.
Fruity, creamy palate entry. Notes of manuka honey and lemon peel, a hint of gin botanicals and barley malt.
Simple, malty finish. Very nice.
