Another fab addition to the Un-Chillfiltered Collection from independent bottler Signatory! Distilled at Glen Ord in 2008, this single malt Scotch whisky spent the next 13 years resting in a pair of hogshead casks, until it was bottled up in April 2022 – you guessed it – without any chill-filtration, or added colour whatsoever!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Flaky pastries with sweet apple compote, a touch of nutty malt, and oaty flapjack.
Palate
Quite chocolatey, with bold wafts of barley and prickles of peppery oak nestling between butter vanilla and chewy caramel.
Finish
The spice kicks in at the end, with a good whack of ginger, balanced by milky coffee beneath.
