Single Malt
Glen Moray
Scotland
The central, and entry level release in the Elgin Classic range from Glen Moray distillery. Very easy to drink, this stuff offers up hints of soft citrus and barley.
Light, fresh. Grist. Nutty, floral. Dried grass. Slightly fruity.
Oak, gentle. Well balanced, walnut, grist. Citrus, lemon sponge.
Tangy citrus, spicy fruitcake.
A decent during the week drink that is light, fragrant and represents excellent value for money Some of the reviewers here need to get over themselves. This is available, as I type, in Sainsbury’s for £18. A steal.
My favourite easy drinker is a Glenlivet 12 (thank got they brought it back to the UK!), so in comparison, for £18 for a bottle of single malt speyside, this is phenomenal - definitely add a cube of ice to bring the flavours out! Manage your expectations, for the price point, this is class.
Well, as a Belgian I'm in Changchun too and I 've just bought this whisky for less than 200 yuan at Walmart and I must say... it's great value for money!!!
Hey guys, that's not a bad whiskey! OK, I like Lagavulin from the age of 16 Years (I started with it). Sure, my favourites are smokers, but I live in China for many years and every time I just have a drink, I mostly can only buy a 10-year-old Talisker whiskey, come on. I find this whiskey at the local METRO Supermarket in Changchun (North China). And as I read in a whiskey description book: "There is never a bad or worse whiskey, there are only whiskey´s that you like or you don´t not like!" This is easy, just give that whiskey a chance, try it out and make your own choice! Joey a German in China ;)
Its got to be the worst malt whisky I have ever drunk, it's harsher than most blended types. Only worth drinking with a mixer to get rid of the harshness or just buy a blended.
