This addition to the Glen Moray Warehouse 1 series sees whisky distilled in June 2014 matured entirely in oloroso sherry casks. Only 1,950 bottles were produced, at cask strength. Naturally coloured and non-chill filtered, with plenty of rich fruit and nut character imparted to this single malt Scotch from the Speyside distillery.
Plenty of sherry influence, figs in spiced syrup, and toasted hazelnuts.
Sticky dried fruits, prunes, spicy gingerbread, and toasted fruit loaf spread with butter.
Peppery spice, with roasted almonds.

This one is down my lane, so to speak: sweet and warm. Something I would definitely buy for myself. 78GBP for what is basically 10 years old whiskey is a bit steep, but is definitely a nice discovery.
