A single cask Glen Moray single malt, distilled back in May 2005 and left to mature in a refill barrel fir 16 years. Eventually, in May 2021, the whisky was independently bottled by Hunter Laing as part of the long-running Old Malt Cask range, with an outturn of 322 bottles.
Nose: Almond pastries and apple turnovers, with a touch of anise lingering.
Palate: Still enjoyably past with pastry notes, though now there's a hint of jam doughnut in there too.
Finish: Stone fruit, ginger, and toasted marshmallow.
