A 16 year old single malt Scotch whisky from the wonderful Glen Moray distillery in the Speyside region, matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-Sherry casks.
Thick toffee, chocolate digestive and Demerara sugar. A slight hint of stewed berries comes through a little later.
Smooth, stewed apples, vanilla cream. Pecan pie, scones, dark chocolate.
Medium. Creamy, warming and nutty.

A friend poured me a dram of this, and the finish is remarkable. Cocoa, cocoa, and cocoa, long and lingering. I love discovering whiskys with such distinctive character. Will buy a bottle soon...
I love GM 12 & 16, especially the fruit flavors in both. In both I find banana. It's note pronounced in the 12, but in the finish of the 16 which I'd longer than the 12. Both if these scotches are a value.
I've been after a bottle of this for a while and it doesn't disappoint. It has a full flavour, that is also light and breezy and although it doesn't have the power of an Islay malt it gives the same lingering after taste and sense of having drunk something really worthwhile. Slightly leathery but with floral overtones....a truly special drinking whiskey that everyone can enjoy
Having been a scotch drinker for a long long time & tried numerus ones & i would rate this to be the best i have ever tasted it was given to me as a gift but i dont think i will be able to afford to buy it myself much the pity Cheers.
