Glen Keith Distillery Bottling Note

This handsome chap before you is the first permanent no age statement single malt from Glen Keith that the distillery in Speyside has released. Matured in ‘traditional’ American oak casks and bottled at 40% ABV, the release of this laid-back malt is very welcome indeed...

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Sweet and crisp with orchard fruits and a malty character. Toffee apples and banana skins linger.

Palate: Through oaked dryness and an oily note comes vanilla sweetness with helpings of apricot yogurt, dried mango and nectarines. Suggestions of chocolate pudding, a slight grassiness and a little spice form the backdrop.

Finish: Subtle floral notes and new oak, with a little honey.

Glen Keith Distillery Edition Reviews

Bargain single malt, no peat or smoke, which I rather like!

Touch of water reveals marzipan, spicy nut flavour. Picked it up for 20 quid. Not bad!

Fantastic tried it for the first time. Love Spey side whisky this is the best I’ve tasted

A nice surprise

Bought for me as a gift. I had no expectations but it is such an easy drink to drink and very pleasant.

i like this a lot!

a small splash of o2 brings out the honey and sweet peaches .... vanilla and oak there too to balance this rather good nas from a fine distiller. light banana on nose too..i like this a lot.

Good stuff..

I have now got a collection of around 13 different malts ... you no the type all the usual supermarket stuff that's available... just added this ..I'm by no means a expert , but I know what I like ..this suits my pallet to a tee and all for 20 pounds on offer ..!! Buy it and try it ..most people will enjoy it ..

Soft, sweet and well rounded

Again as usual got this bute at bargain price!
It is far better than the price tag would hold to a Malt beginner, beautifully rounded Speysider with toffee and vanilla caressing your palate. Sweet and so pleasant there is really nothing to not like about this Malt at this price!!!

So many undertones to enjoy

Typically speyside typically wonderful! So many undertones to enjoy with a full on party on my palate

16th May 2020

Worth a try

Got a bottle for £20. Total value for money. Sweet tasting and easy on the palette, no complaints. Much better than some similarly priced jobs

Every sip was a delight. Almost sweet with very little edge.

It's just a quality whisky & make no mistake about it. C

Surprisingly Good

Came to me as a gift. A really nice, sweet enjoyable whisky considering its NAS and price point. I get toffee, bananas and nuts. Would definitely buy this again

29th December 2019

Has novelty value.

Mediocre at best. Clearly Speyside but not the best. The slightest dash of water calms the 'edge' and improves the nose somewhat. Those in search of a creamy, smooth Speyside look elsewhere.

6th November 2019

Much better than buckfast

4th October 2019

First try. Positive review.

Was given a glass of this to try, by my brother-in-law. Really nice. A slight sweetness. Not peaty. Neither he, nor I like very peaty whiskies. Will treat myself to a bottle, next time I am shopping.

10th August 2019

Great introduction

My niece and her husband bought me this for my 70th. Truth I had never heard of it before, however I am enjoying it so much I will be buying it, and telling my friends all about it and the distillery.

8th June 2019

Price, enjoyable and not to be missed.

Smooth, fruity with hints of toffee and vanilla. This is an every day dram that can be enjoyed by everyone. Price is very affordable and should be in your drinks cabinet.

If you want an everyday Speyside, this is it. Smooth & easy drinking, a malt to end the evening on a lighter note. Regularly on offer at around £20... at that price bag it.

17th April 2019

No way got given as a present dont bother with it not the worst i've had though

6th March 2019

Very enjoyable Speyside malt

Mellow to the palate and lasting fruity after-taste.

8th November 2018

A Fine Spirit

Its all a matter of taste but I really rate this as a very decent dram, after a night reminising with an old pal and overdoing it a bit, I was left feeling just dandy the next day!

4th October 2018

Can't afford the top malts unfortunately.

Had a bottle given from a friend usually drink blended whisky found this much better. I believe the taste is down to the individual.I will certainly be trying more malts from now on.

I have sampled some single malts over the years and this one is as good as there is, well done GlenKeith !

29th August 2018

Well worth a try even at full price

Hello, this is pretty damn good having sampled single malts for over 35 years is one I argue is the best

7th August 2018

I’m a glenfiddich single malt man myself but saw this at £18 a bottle and thought why not I’m glad I did because I found it superb can not fault it. Well done the glen Keith.

24th July 2018

Listen to the chaps at malt.

Don't be put of by the nay sayers. Many of them on here couldn't tell the difference between an islay and a speyside. Trust the chaps at M.O.M they always give a fair and honest review. Obviously its down to individual taste and preferences but this is a lovely dram. Crisp and clean with a big hit of red apple skin. Followed by mild peppery spice and a lovely toffee honied finish. No real age but thats not its selling point. All in all well worth a try.

5th July 2018

Raw to the throat& bitter

Bad experience not worth my time & money

30th June 2018

Very young but drinkable.

Pleasant but no depth of flavour.

22nd June 2018

A Whisky worth drinking

A Whisky worth drinking

18th June 2018

Give it a whirl

Pleasantly surprised! Wasn't expecting much for the price but is pretty decent. Worth a purchase on a budget or as an introduction to single malts.

22nd April 2018

Good Speyside

A really good Speyside whisky, full of sweetness with a black pepper after taste, a good dram for the nightcap.

6th April 2018

It’s all good

Everything I like in a young Speyside. Light, slight fruitiness, nice sharp nose, nicely balanced. Plus found it for £20 in the local off licence - happy days!
