Glen Keith Distillery Bottling Note

This handsome chap before you is the first permanent no age statement single malt from Glen Keith that the distillery in Speyside has released. Matured in ‘traditional’ American oak casks and bottled at 40% ABV, the release of this laid-back malt is very welcome indeed...

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Sweet and crisp with orchard fruits and a malty character. Toffee apples and banana skins linger.

Palate: Through oaked dryness and an oily note comes vanilla sweetness with helpings of apricot yogurt, dried mango and nectarines. Suggestions of chocolate pudding, a slight grassiness and a little spice form the backdrop.

Finish: Subtle floral notes and new oak, with a little honey.

Glen Keith Distillery Edition Reviews

Fine for the price.

Too many anti-NAS snobs out there.
Very drinkable malt. By no means the best but you can't complain when you can pick a bottle of this stuff up £20 in some shops. Perfect for filling in between pricier malts.

Real value for money scotch.

Excellent my favourite tipple, I love the fruity taste and smooth finish a real value for money scotch.

Smooth and decent

A malt for drinking but not necessarily savouring. Folk giving it a half star are maybe a little pretentious about what whisky is, in my opinion.

Dreck!

Tastes like it came right out of the still. Don't be fooled by the packaging, spend an extra fiver and get something that's been aged properly.

Good value

Dunno what axe to grind the Negatives have, but this was sweet, smooth and enjoyable.

One of my favourite

Dry fruity taste, leaves you wanting another sip .

Worst

I’m totally unhappy with this. The “Foul”-guy was absolutely right. It’s the worst thing I’ve tried in my life, such a disappointment. Single malt speyside by chivas - all just marketing... The only flavor it has is young raw spirits, nothing else. Not a whisky.

Foul

Awful, awful drink. I rather liked the idea of a whisky that wasn't making a fuss about being stored away for a decade or so, but this was damned near undrinkable. Tried mixing it with coke just to get rid of the stuff, and all it did was worsen the coke. In all honesty I'd prefer a glass of water to this.

Stay competitive pricewise please

Nice, almost as smooth as the triple distilled Irish whiskeys

Very good single malt

First time trying this and really enjoying it. Quite a smooth single malt at a very good price. Will definitely buy again.
