Rum Finish
This is the first instalment in the Glen Grant Exploration Series, and an opportunity to enjoy its single malt following a rum cask finish. Initially matured in bourbon barrels, this single malt was then transferred to rum casks for finishing, enhancing the Speyside distillery's classic fruity, aromatic profile with layers of tropical fruit, dark sugar, and sweet spice.
Soft stone fruits, candied orange, banana, and oaken vanilla.
Sweet layers of floral vanilla, muscovado sugar, malt loaf, and spiced banana bread.
A creamy finish, with more tropical fruit sweetness, a touch of nutmeg, and pineapple pulp.
Based on the first couple of drams from this bottle I have decided that I will be purchasing the whole series as the rest are released. Absolutely brilliant.
