Description

This is an astounding 46 year old Glen Grant (days away from being a 48 year old!) from the impressive Carn Mor range. It was distilled in 1965 before a maturation in hogshead number 2139. It was bottled in 2012 and there are just 199 bottles (each is numbered).

Nose

Berry fruit and vanilla. Hints of peach nectar, dried peels, a little over-ripe black grape and spice.

Palate

Spiced palate entry with vanilla and coffee to the fore. A little herbal character too, with notes of white peach and honey. Good oak grip.

Finish

Long and intensely peppery finish.
