Glen Grant 1966 (Gordon and MacPhail)

Glen Grant 1966 Bottling Note

A 1966 vintage from the Glen Grant distillery. This was matured in a mix of first fill and refill sherry casks. Lighter and fresher than other expressions in the range.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

The nose is quite full and sweet with notes of vanilla spice and winter fruitcake. There are notes of stewed apples and Madeira. Hints of honeydew melon emerge with a creaminess and cut hay. The palate is quite full and exceptionally balanced. There are notes of cut grass and hints of rhubarb crumble. Notes of cut kiwi fruit and a touch of gentle smoke with calvados. The finish is long with oaken vanilla notes.
