Glen Garioch 6yo 2010 Bottling Note

6 year old Glen Garioch single malt aged in a refill hogshead, independently bottled by Douglas Laing as part of the Provenance series. Interesting to see a Glen Garioch bottled at a rather young age - this one was distilled in January 2010 and bottled in November 2016 with an outturn of 402 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Honey'd barley, mint chocolate, coconut biscuits.

Palate: Vanilla ice cream with chocolate chips and hundreds & thousands.

Finish: Mint chocolate returns, now with a touch of white oak spiciness.

Glen Garioch 6 Year Old 2010 (cask 11560) - Provenance (Douglas Laing) Reviews

Recommended for a daily dram

Ginger, almond and coconut on the nose
The palate brings candied orange peel and vanilla
Short spicy finish.

71/100 in my book, which is not bad at all (I'm not one of those 5 stars or no stars voters). I love the nose on this especially; could go with smelling this all evening. Recommended for a daily dram.
