Distilled in 2009, this whisky spent 17 years munching its way through a refill sherry butt, yielding 1,014 bottles. Nose

Rich, sweet, and malty, with nut brittle, apple crumble, brandy snaps, and caramelised pineapple. Sherried oak, chalky candy sticks, and a touch of leather.

Palate

Bold old oak, dense and well-sherried with candied almonds and baked fruit. Raisins, sultanas, sticky, chewy, with drying waves of tobacco and walnut.

Finish

Reminiscent of a good Old Fashioned with notes of maple syrup, hints of orange peel, toffee, hints of woody spice, buttery oak, old leather, and lingering cherry candies.
