Glen Garioch 11 Year Old 2012 (Thompson Bros.)
Glen Garioch single malt Scotch whisky here, distilled in 2012 and aged for over 11 years in a pair of first-fill oak barrels. It was bottled by Thompson Bros. at 48.5% ABV.
Tasting Note by The Producer
Nose
Mirabelle, pear & apple, buttered brioche, wholemeal toast with salted butter, some gentle autumnal notes; leaves & moss. ‘School Dinner’ custard, rosewater.
Palate
Sweet with notes of pear drops, candyfloss, charred pineapple, orange cordial, barley water, charred oak, vanilla, kaffir lime leaf and touches of Gordal olives.
Finish
Really love the candyfloss note! Some flint, oak, spice, and ripe kiwi.
