This expression from Càrn Mòr's Strictly Limited range was distilled by Glen Garioch, and matured in a pair of bourbon barrels for 11 years. A release of 580 bottles, and like the name suggests - once they're gone, they are gone. Strictly Limited indeed.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Milky coffee, tinned peaches and gingerbread.

Palate: Almond croissants dusted with powdered sugar, grassy barley and a pinch of red chilli flake.

Finish: Grilled pineapple, grist and creamy fudge.

Glen Garioch 11 Year Old 2008 - Strictly Limited (Càrn Mòr) Reviews

Disappointing

Quite a Glen Garioch fan. Last few years Carn Mor have brought to market some younger bottling, bourbon and sherry cask expressions, not a bad one amongst them. This is a departure. Thin mouth feel, alcohol too much to the fore, altogether lacking. Cork back in the bottle where it will stay until winter returns....might be better then??, who knows, but for now, M&M have a bit of ground to make up.
