Glen Garioch 19 Year Old 1991 - Rare Auld (Duncan Taylor)
This was distilled at Glen Garioch in June of 1991. It was filled into cask 3855 where it rested for 19 years before bottling in January of 2011. A release of 243 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
A rich nose with plenty of stewed fruit, malt and spice. Notes of custard, hints of peat smoke, oak, a little citrus in the form of Seville orange marmalade.
Palate
Peppery and fruity. Hints of cocoa, malt and toffee, a little manuka honey. Spices, cider, toasty oak, toasted bread.
Finish
Good length and very peppery/spicy. Wisps of smoke on the tail.
