Glen Elgin 21 Year Old 1995 (cask 11596) - Old Particular (Douglas Laing)
Independently bottled Glen Elgin single malt, aged in a refill hogshead for 21 years. It was distilled in December 1995 and left to rest in a refill hogshead until March 2017, when it was bottled by the chaps from Douglas Laing for their Old Particular range. 266 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Apples and oranges, with a few apricots thrown in the mix too.
Palate
Cinnamon and ginger. Runny caramel and some grist.
Finish
Marmalade, barley sugar, treacle tarts with buttery pastry.
