This is a nineteen year old Glen Elgin bottled in 2010 by Mackillop's Choice. This whisky was aged in an ex-Sherry cask for dried fruit flavours and complexity.
There's a lot of phenolic chlorine action going on here leading to stewing blackberries and a profound peppery quality. This is a big whisky not for the faint hearted.
