Allow us to present a fine single malt from Glen Elgin, independently bottled by us right here at Master of Malt! Distilled in 2006, this whisky spent 16 years maturing in a refill hogshead, developing sweet layers of silky honey and grilled pineapple along the way. A release of 271 bottles, without added colour or chill filtration.
A sweet welcome of toffee pennies, warm caramel, syrupy sponge cake, and buttery shortbread. Creamy oak and juicy barley join in time, with vanilla, milky coffee, and a touch of green banana.
Soft and supple to start, with lucious layers of fudge, then a tickle of sweet cakey spice, grilled pineapple, and ginger warmth. Condensed milk, chocolate-dipped berries, a hint of strawberry laces, mellow oak char.
Cherry chocolate, cough drop sweetness, rich oak, butterscotch, and characterful spice.
