Glen Elgin 13 Year Old 2007 (cask 570885) - Monologue (Chapter 7)
Independently bottled single malt from the Glen Elgin Distillery, released as part of the Monologue series by Switzerland's Chapter 7. It was distilled in 2007 and matured for 13 years in Oloroso and Port casks, until 2021, when it was bottled at 52% ABV, with only 233 bottles produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Apple strudel, coconut, mince pies, and a hint of leather.
Palate
Spicy malt with hints of black pepper and cassia in support, mellowed by layers of chewy raisins and chocolate chip cookies.
Finish
Seville orange marmalade, toasted brown sugar, those pink wafer biscuits.
