An indie bottling of single malt from the Glen Elgin Distillery, aged in just one hogshead cask! This one was distilled in June 2007, and left to mature for 12 years. In April 2020, it was deemed ready and bottled up for The Single Malts of Scotland range, with an outturn of 270 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Victoria sponge, carrot cake, and croissants! A smidge of toasty oak sneaks in too.
Palate
Orange peels, chocolate biscuits, a drying spiciness building in the background.
Finish
Black pepper, barley, caraway, honey.
