A single cask Speysider from Berry Bros. & Rudd, distilled at Glen Elgin in 2007. The single malt was finished in a Pedro Ximénez sherry butt for 18 months before it was bottled at a generous 58.9% ABV. A warming and spiced, subtly waxy dram that'll be more than suitable as an evening sipper.
Nose: Candied orange peel, sultana sweetness and fresh red berries.
Palate: Toasty wood spices appear alongside set, waxy honey, and orange marmalade (with bits, of course).
Finish: Plump raisin and cooked pear linger on an otherwise spicy finish.
