Oak

This was distilled at the Glen Elgin distillery in May 1985, and it was aged in cask 1526 for 26 years before bottling at Natural Cask Strength by Duncan Taylor in 2012. A release of 270 numbered bottles.
Floral notes - particularly fresh apple blossom, notes of dark chocolate, nutmeg and allspice. A little pear juice perhaps.
Ginger spices, bitter herbs, old oak, vanilla spices, star anise.
Very spicy with lots of those aniseed notes on the tail, alongside chilli warmth and malt.
