The Girvan Patent Still 28 Year Old
From the Girvan Patent Still range comes a 28 Year Old Expression that was originally launched for the Travel Retail market. The single grain whisky matured for nearly 30 years in American white oak casks, and was bottled at 42% ABV. As with the other bottlings in the range, it comes with a rather zazzy presentation box.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Honey, lemon drizzle cake and quince. Hints of tobacco, but the sweet notes dominate.
Palate
Vanilla-rich oak take the spotlight, supported by candied peels and roasted almonds.
Finish
Pear drops and flaky pastry. A touch of caraway heat.
