A generously aged single-grain Scotch from Girvan, independently bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company. This whisky spent a mighty 35 years maturing in a single refill barrel, developing a rich, sweet profile, laden with notes of pancakes, syrup, and melted chocolate. Girvan is one of Scotland's two largest grain distilleries, competing annually with Cameronbridge for production output. To produce its daily spirit output with one rotovap, even working 24/7, you'd need to have started in 1495, the year of the first written mention of Scotch whisky by Friar John Cor. Hence why you see the friar frantically distilling on the label of this Boutique-y bottling. A release of 202 bottles.
