Girvan 30 Year Old 1989 - Rare Cask Series (GreatDrams)

Girvan 30yo GreatDrams Bottling Note

In 1989, the same year that Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure hit the big screen, the folks at Girvan set about distilling this single grain whisky. They then placed it in a travelling time capsule (also known as an ex-bourbon hogshead) and allowed it to travel at the speed of...well normal time actually – for a whole 30 years! After this time travelling escapade, the whisky was independently bottled up by the folks at GreatDrams for its Rare Cask Series, limited to a total of only 96 bottles.

Finish: Spiced nuts, caramel, nutmeg, and lingering vanilla oak.

Girvan 30 Year Old 1989 - Rare Cask Series (GreatDrams) Reviews

Absolutely incredible

Tried a small sample of this knock out whisky at a food and drink festival. Buttery and sweet but really punchy too. Costs some money but sometimes you have to pay for quality
