This single grain Scotch whisky comes to us from the Girvan Distillery in South Ayrshire, and was independently bottled by The Single Cask. Coincidentally, the whisky itself was drawn from a single cask, one that held it for 29 years - from November 1990 to March 2020. Just 179 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Stewed berries and fresh greengages, with polished oak bringing some richness to the party.
Palate
Rounded vanilla, strawberry and white chocolate. Woody notes continue, now with a touch of corn in support.
Finish
Orange, toffee and just a whisper of peppery rye.
