Girvan 24 Year Old 1994 (cask 137174) - Celebration of the Cask (Càrn Mòr)

A single cask single grain whisky from Girvan, distilled in October 1994. The liquid was left in a single bourbon barrel to mature for 24 years, until April 2019 when Càrn Mòr decided it was time to bottle it up. A limited 146 bottles were released at cask strength, weighing in at 49.7% ABV, for the Celebration of the Cask range. A wonderfully buttery grain whisky here.

Nose

Lemon tart, herbaceous oak and cinnamon pastry.

Palate

Baked goods galore! Treacle sponge, caramel shortbread and buttery pastry, with toffee popcorn and lemon sweeties.

Finish

Mocha topped with whipped cream, and caramel stroopwafel.
