Buffalo Trace's Stagg releases share characteristics with its George T. Stagg expressions (released as part of the annual Antique Collection), in that they're intense, full-on bourbon whiskeys. However, they're just a bit easier to get your hands on, and a little bit younger. This hails from batch number 22B.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Powerful with burnt sugar and flamed orange peel. Toasted oak hides underneath.

Palate New leather, clove, red chilli and dark chocolate. A few drops of water helps to bring fruity notes to the fore.

Finish Very long and spicy. A touch of honey.

A big hitter
Really love this stuff. I was lucky enough to taste a full on George T and this is definitely still worthy of the Stagg name. Big, heavy and flavoursome for a fraction of the cost!
