A 12 year old Irish single malt whiskey from the Gelston's range. This particular expression has enjoyed a finishing period in casks that previously contained deliciously sweet sherry, so expect a helping of dark fruit richness here...
Honeycomb, raspberry, a light touch of mint, coffee bean.
Orange peel, brown sugar, chocolate raisins.
A slow build of cinnamon and black pepper on the finish.
I found this very tasty, a good balanced whisky with lovely notes of dried fruit and citrus.
All I taste is citrus and ethanol
