Frysk Hynder Port Cask
Dutch single malt whisky from the Frysk Hynder range, produced at the Us Heit Distillery. This particular expression was aged in casks that previously held Port, and that maturation has helped to impart oodles of red berry notes to the intriguing whisky. Also, yes, there is a rather handsome horse atop the bottle. We're happy you noticed, because we noticed too and said, "That's wonderful!" Because it is, in fact, wonderful.

Nose
Rather festive, with fruit cake and brandy butter notes, alongside a hint of green apple.
Palate
Honeyed barley, plus sultana, cinnamon, vegetal oak, and orange.
Finish
Toasted sugar and filo pastry.
