The second blend from Forest Whisky, a very interesting dram. The blended malt has been aged in 50 year old Oloroso sherry casks at the distillery in the Peak District, bottled at 47% ABV. As always with Forest Whisky blends, the fabulous porcelain packaging is glazed with real gold, with only 200 bottles produced.
Chocolate covered almonds, toffee and lemon curd.
Chocolate butter icing, toffee apple and sweet tropical fruits alongside herbaceous undertones and a crack of black pepper, with malt cereal notes in support.
Freshly cut grass and melted dark chocolate intertwine on the finish.
