With every batch of Forest whisky blended malt, you can guarantee a few things: you'll taste it and want to desperately visit the distillery in the Peak District National Park, you'll be reminded how exciting English whisky is, and you will confirm that golden weasels are absolutely boss*.
Blend Number Twenty Seven is made from Cheshire barley and oats. It's fermented with wild yeast and the distillery's own spring water before it is double distilled and then matured for an initial three years. Forest Whisky then creates a blend with other whiskies it makes and this marriage is rested in a 50-year-old oloroso sherry cask. Blend Number Twenty Seven was bottled without chill-filtration, colouring, or flavourings in fine English porcelain by Wade Ceramics at 47% ABV, and just 400 bottles were filled.
*There's one on the bottle's label. That would seem like an absolutely insane thing to say without context. At least to people who aren't big on weasels. The freaks.
