Forest Whisky Blend Number Three
Well, this is rather lovely - it's Blend Number Three of Forest Whisky from the Forest Distillery! The blend marries malt whiskies. Number Three has been treated to a three month finish in a 50 year old Oloroso sherry cask at the distillery in the Peak District. May 2019 rolled around and the cask was emptied, the liquid was blended with forest spring water and bottled at 47% ABV. As always with Forest Whisky, the liquid is presented in a striking black ceramic bottle, complete with real gold decoration.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Chocolate covered marzipan, rich cocoa powder, caramel and lemon cheesecake.
Palate
Richly decadent and smooth, loads of chocolate, juicy ripe fruits, namely plum and apple, with banana sweeties and caramelised brown sugar.
Finish
Sherry notes really shine on the finish, with gentle fruity notes lingering alongside dark chocolate.
