The sixth expression from the Forest Whisky folks is a blended malt made exclusively with whiskies aged for at least 8 years, blended together and then finished in a 50 year old cask that previously held Oloroso sherry. As ever, it's presented in a distinctive porcelain bottle, complete with a weasel on the front.
Stem ginger and green tea, fragrant vanilla and Medjool dates.
Orange peel, Jammie Dodgers, cinnamon, black pepper, a hint of dark chocolate and plenty of malt.
Cinnamon sticks around, as do the vanilla biscuit notes.
