Forest Whisky Blend Number Five

The Forest Distillery has dipped into its awesome supply of blended malt to bring us Blend Number Five! The whisky was filled into Oloroso casks which held the sherry for 50 years for a finishing period. This cask was first used for Blend Number One, and Blend Number Five is the second time whisky has been filled into this impressive sherry cask. Just 200 porcelain bottles have been produced at 47% ABV, adorned with real gold as always.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Cut grass leads into dusty cocoa and caramelised almonds, citrus curd and smooth praline.

Palate

Fresh brown toast and dark chocolate spread, with red fruits coming to the fore. Cooked orchard fruit and baking spices appear.

Finish

Brown sugar sprinkled over malt cereal, with plum skin and chocolate-covered coffee bean.
