Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Pear and peach, leading into nutty notes of old oak.

Palate: Dates, walnuts, citrus blossom, a whiff of peat.

Finish: Cracked black pepper and a hint of coastal smoke.

Excellent value for money

I really love this blended malt; nice smoke and toffee notes. Nice and smooth, for non aged blended malt, super value for money!

Lovely wee blend

Well, really surprised when I opened this one tonight; what a wee cracker.
Sweet and fruity, with a touch of smoke, and a smoke that just lingered on the palate. Really enjoyed this one and definitely worth a try

Hwæt!

A surprisingly robust but well-integrated blend. Quite peat-forward with a rapidly-developing midrange that resolves into satisfying black pepper heat. Neat, it's reminiscent of Craigellachie 13, but with more of a kick at the end and an oakey rather than a feinty foundation. With a little water, it's somewhat reminiscent of Old Pulteney, if Old Pulteney was a red-eyed Viking swilling from a bottle of Caol Ila while raging at the waves through the salt and hail-scur of his forked beard. The Glenfiddich crowd will probably not like this hefty scotch, but they'll be glad of it when they're hunkered on the rocks of Jura sharpening their axes and waiting for the blasted English to attack.
