Fielden Harvest 2020 Rye Whisky 70cl

The second instalment in the annual Harvest Rye series from England's Fielden distillery, celebrating its 2020 grain harvest. The grain composition consists of 73% rye, 18% wheat, and 9% malted barley grown in Oxfordshire, Berkshire,

Gloucestershire, and Norfolk. After a four to five-day fermentation in both wooden and stainless steel washbacks, the whisky is double distilled (first pot-distilled, second pot and column) and then matured for a minimum of 47 months in a combo of old and new American oak, plus a small portion of STR wine casks. It's slowly diluted to a generous 50% ABV over a 77-day marrying period before bottling.
