A fantastic Fettercairn single malt here, distilled in October 2012 and matured in a single ex-bourbon cask for eight years. In June 2021, the cask was cracked open by those clever clogs at GreatDrams, releasing 200 bottles for its indie Single Cask Series.
Sweet vanilla and apricot, a touch of malty coffee and treacle.
Nutty with toasted almonds and macadamia, honeyed fruits, and rich tea biscuits.
Baking spices creep in alongside chewy barley, oily citrus, and a touch of pepper.
