This is a forty year old expression from the little known distillery of Fettercairn which is owned by the famous blending company Whyte & Mackay who also own Dalmore and Jura distilleries.
This is a heavily sherried whisky with big notes of candied orange peel, cinnamon and sweet mincemeat. The palate is treacle like with red fruits and spices on the finish.
Well balanced. Lovely gentle nose. Very smooth. Excellent.
