Well-matured Fettercairn single malt here, independently bottled by WM Cadenhead for their Small batch range. This was distilled in 1988 and drawn from a trio of bourbon hogshead in 2017, before being bottled at cask strength. 750 bottles were produced.
Richly malty. Notes of waxy peels and buttered Hot Cross Buns.
A hint of roasted oak as it opens, before sugary biscuits and fig notes appear.
Raspberries, pear and caramel.
