21 year old single malt from Fettercairn, independently bottled by those fantastic Signatory folks. This one was distilled in October 1997 and set aside to mature in a pair of hogshead casks until February 2019, when the whisky was all bottled up as part of the Cask Strength Collection. Only 502 bottles were produced. Shiny, they are, too.
Oily malt and fresh peach, with hints of roasted oak in the background.
Almond butter and Sesame Snaps, followed by apricot jam and cigar box earthiness.
Buttered hot cross buns, drying caraway, some waxy fruit.
